Los Angeles, CA – Witness San Paredes’ first U.S. fashion show during LA Fashion Week as Perth, Australian designer Paul Magalad throws a killer DJ party at Echo (formerly Nyarit - 1822 Sunset Blvd. in Echo Park, a few blocks East of Silver Lake Blvd.) on Monday, April 15, 2002.  The evening kicks off at 8:00pm with the fashion parade starting promptly at 9:30pm for a sneak peek at Magalad’s Fall/Winter 2002 collection.  The night is free but you must R.S.V.P. to lynn@greengalactic.com.

Magalad, who has just become a member of CLAD, Coalition of Los Angeles Designers, has developed a range of urban-post-modern inspired clothing under the label of San Paredes.  His work has appeared in numerous style journals throughout Australia and the Asian Pacific.  Magalad draws his inspiration and materials from the synthetic clothing of the 1970’s fashion - producing works, which sheath the body in fluid layers of color and texture.

On the runway, he brings together models, hairdressers, make-up artists, photographers, DJ's and musicians to create a multi-artform context for displaying his designs. 

Aiding in the fashion show for his LA premier are some of LA’s top female DJs - Meredith Chinn as dj PANIC and DJ Angelique who will model on the runway and spin behind the decks.  Opening grooves provided by Arian Leviste who will set the pace and mood for the evening.  Also assisting on the night are hair stylist David Wicall of LOMA SALON and make up artist Michael Anthony Clark.  Accessories for the show are provided by Lissa.

San Paredes is under the distribution of mad machinists group.
