Holy cow!
Flyer magazine recently honored us in their best of
2001 issue as Los Angeles' primo spot "...to see a guy
in glasses rock a laptop." Says Flyer, "If you're
looking for a regular event that showcases the best in
cutting-edge experimental electronic sounds and visuals,
Twine is where it's at."
We're blushing! Thanks, guys.
Each Wednesday we'll run from
9:30pm till 1:00am and showcase live electronic artists and
some DJs, but the emphasis will be on live performances much
like our long running, albeit sporadic, Public Space which,
since 1994, has presented the likes of Autechre, the guys from
Chain Reaction and 430 West, Plaid,
Herbert, and
Alex Paterson.
For the 4 Wednesdays in February we've got super talented
artists I'm honored to present to you:

Headspace Hoseh Birthday Bonanza with Televazquez,
live (Incomplet, Phthalo) and DJ sets by Dntel (Phthalo,
Plug Research), Nubop (Polyhedral), Jasper (Cytrax)
2/13:
Richard Head opens the evening with an entrancing live
performance followed by an immersive DJ set of Warm
Electronic Frequencies by Pietrobot/Digital Chemist
2/20:
Dublab presents a night of Dubeats with Daedelus (Phthalo,
Plug Research) Carlos Nino, Derelict and Mannequin Lung
(Plug Research)
2/27:
Novabeats Sound System featuring live performances by
Mr. Soon, Subversive Element, and Cavestar |
