A Day in the Life focuses on uncovering parallels:
between overcoming the obstacles of climbing and overcoming
the obstacles of real life. The film beautifully explores the
subject matter by entering the lives of five women climbers:
Beth Rodden, Tiffany Campbell, Stephanie
Forte, Roxanna Brock, and Brandi Mulligan.
Each woman represents a different age, personality, and
lifestyle. From (some of) their 40-hour office cubicles, to
the 1,000-foot walls of Red Rocks, Nevada, the intimate
details of each woman's strength becomes crystal clear. This
vibrant mixture of femininity and raw determination combine in
harmony to create a film that delivers hope, encouragement,
and inspiration.
"I felt it was important to take part in this film,"
explains climber Roxanna Brock, "I hope other women will
become inspired to find their inner strength and beauty to
tackle whatever obstacles lie before them."
"I chose to speak about my battle with anorexia and bulimia
so other women can learn from my experience," says Stephanie
Forte. "We each have issues to overcome in our lives, I feel
this film will lead women to discovering the power they hold
to overcome challenges and achieve personal success."
Filmmaker Paul Dusatko embodies the perfect Southern
Californian. With over a decade of climbing experience
including five years as a pro, the handsome, athletic
26-year-old also has 12 years of acting and directing
experience under his belt. His production company Integrity 7
Productions, which he started in 1999, saw his first
feature-length production, Inertia, garner the
rating "best selling rock climbing video for 2000", by the
leading outdoor retailer - REI. Now, A Day in the Life,
his second rock climbing video, has just won a coveted 2001
Telly Award for "Best Documentary." Dusatko will be on hand at
the LA premiere of his new film in September.
