Phthalocyanine is today's leading
proponent of Brute Techno, the attitude that the most
authentic and vital techno is not future music made by a youth
cyberpop culture, but is instead contemporary folk music made
by outsider or formally untrained fine artists. He (aka
Dimitri Fergadis) presents these ideas on the Phthalo
label by releasing a wide range of explorers whom seem to be
at home with not feeling at home. He has released his own
music on Plug Research, A-Musik, PHTHALO, Planet Mu, Aim,
Klangkrieg, and soon on Tigerbeat 6. He's also an aggressive
painter, one of today's most active in the media of glues,
cements, and roofing materials.
