Los Angeles, CA -
On April 13, 2003, LA was treated to the first of a unique
event concept - Sew Down, where fashion meets art fused
with music and technology. The Sunday afternoon event was such
a success that the production team of Psyche Deli Sundaes,
Atousa and Green Galactic plan to host Sew Down
events each quarter with the help of Good Stuff Promotions
and media sponsor URB magazine. The next Sew Dow
event takes place on Sunday July 20th from 4:00pm - midnight
at Psyche Deli Sundaes in Qtopia, 6021 Hollywood
Blvd. in Hollywood (just East of Gower). Admission is free!
Over 1600 of LA’s hippest and grooviest fashionistas and music
fans attended the debut event and even more are expected at
the expanded summer ‘03 Sew Down.
Sew Down will
showcase fashion, art and music exhibitors who love the
lifestyles they put forth in the fashions and sounds they
create; fashions that draw upon music, art, technology and
media. Sew Down fosters creative minds and risk-takers within
the fashion community, providing consumers with a glimpse of
the next trend, the next line, the next breakout designer at
prices we can all afford.
Sew Down will be
housed in one of the newest, most interesting and unique
multi-use venues in Los Angeles, Qtopia on Hollywood Blvd.
This is the perfect venue for it to all come together.
The main floor will house the stage and runway and 20 booths.
This room will feature the sounds of top DJs such as
Vinylycious featuring Ginger and Janna (www.vinylycious.com),
Lush, Marques Wyatt (Deep, Om Rec's.), DJ
Harvey (UK), Scott K. (More), Charles
Feelgood and a live performance by

The stage, designed by LA’s top visual/video artist Vello
Virkhaus will showcase the fashion show and trapeze
performers. And fellow VJ Emilo Sa will also provide
exceptional visual eye candy.
The lounge room will showcase the DJ talents
of Alland, Ira (Gleam recordings), Akiko
(BookHer Agency) DJ Motion, Luke Cuccia, Tree,
Theory vs. David Quick (Rhythm Garden), and Joleen
along with a full bar and even more clothing vendors. The back
room of the space serves as the art gallery for a variety of
top painters, graphic designers, photographers and animators
including Julie Koh (oil/mixed medium), Kemst,
Shawn Waco (paintings & etchings), Robert Acosta
(urban/political), Nassim Peterson (urban culture
paintings), Jason Henry (new media), Woodcock,
