Fiona Horne is
an author and journalist, television and radio personality,
actor, musician and a Witch. She has been practicing the
Craft for fourteen years. Fiona's first book Witch: A
Magickal Journey, published by Thorsons/HarperCollins UK
in October 2000 sold out of its first print run in just six
weeks and is now in it's third reprint. She is also the
author of 2001’s Seven Days to A Magickal New You and
Magickal Sex-A Witches Guide to Bed’s Knobs and Broomsticks.
Her new book for Teen Witches, Witchin’ – A Handbook for
Teen Witches is released in the UK October 2002 and the
USA February 2003.
Fiona moved to
Los Angeles in 2002 and is now based there though she travels
frequently to the United Kingdom and Australia for work
commitments. Recent promotion for her books has seen Fiona
featured on US television shows including Los Angeles’
KTLA5 Morning News, GOOD DAY
New York,
The Rob Nelson Show (FOX) and radio shows including
The Mark and Brian Show and Los Angeles’ Star 89.9
Morning Show with Ryan Seacrest.
Journalism
For the past six years Fiona has worked as a journalist and
has written for mainstream Australian magazines including
Marie Claire, HQ, New Woman, Cleo, Cosmopolitan, 'B'
Magazine (sister of British 'B'). Australian Women's
Forum and Rolling Stone and daily broadsheets such
as Melbourne's The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald
amongst others.
A rock singer and musician
From 1990 to early 1997 Fiona was lead singer of the popular
Australian techno/rock group DEF FX, who achieved Top 40 chart
success in Australia and toured America and Canada three times
as well as Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and New Zealand. In the
US, DEF FX achieved significant sales and chart exposure,
including a Top 20 American Billboard Dance chart hit with
their single, Space Time Disco. Since then, Fiona has
emerged as a popular solo music artist.
Television
Fiona’s 2002
UK Television show “SEXY SPELLS” for Granada/Sky Broadcasting
was a hit – people from all over the UK wrote to Fiona asking
for magickal help with their love and sex lives. Fiona was
also the host of a primetime 13 part series called Party!
screened during 2000 in Australia on its number one commercial
network Channel 9. 2000 also saw her as guest presenter on
Nine's Saturday night primetime show Russell Gilbert Live.
Some of Fiona's assignments included interviewing Britney
Spears, Melissa Etheridge, and Tom Jones. Now she is a
regular on Channel 10's top rating Beauty and the Beast
and Good Morning Australia. Fiona is in discussions
with major American television networks for her own show on
Witchcraft.
Radio
1999 saw Fiona hosting two popular National radio shows
Home Grown and Planet Rock for the Triple M
Network. For two years (2000-2002) Fiona hosted her top
rating “Spellcasting Show” on MIX FM, taking calls from people
requesting magickal advice for their dilemmas. You can find

Acting
In August
2001, Fiona starred in Melbourne, Australia's sold out opening
season of the hit international theater production of The
Vagina Monologues.
