    About These Party People…

    Ed Vertov [Stellar Remnant/Pro-Tez] DJing

Ed Vertov was born in Moscow and grew up in the ’90s in the midst of the collapse of Soviet Union. He moved to Los Angels in 1995 to go to school and became absolutely fascinated with LA and its diverse culture and made his home there. In 2003, Vertov and his old time friend Anton Kubikov of SCSI-9 (Kompakt) decided to set up an international electronic music record label Pro-Tez Records. It was launched in 2005 and joined vast Kompakt Distribution Family. Now the record label is getting worldwide recognition and with a number of releases (45) has proved to be an exquisite music vessel for young and never-heard-before musicians. Vertov also worked at Virgin Megastore for several years and at Amoeba Music in Hollywood where he was deeply involved in the electronic music departments. In 2012 he joined Mount Analog vinyl shop in LA as one of the curators and buyers where he helped open the store and worked for 3 years. All of that led him to his most ambitious project yet: Stellar Remnant, in 2015. Stellar Remnant (SR) is a record label, online record shop and pop-up store based in Los Angeles, California. The shop is curated by Ed Vertov and Lena Deen of Prologue records. Stellar Remnant Label is set to release vinyl-only series that reflect their fascination with techno, ambient, and experimental music. SR distributes and sells music that they find important, whether new, old or hard to find. Vertov also is a co-founder of Acid Pop Recordings together with Russian musician Mujuice. Stellar Remnant record shop is set to open this summer in DTLA @ 438 S.Main St.

It’s going to be great fun. Certainly for me :-). Especially if loved ones can join.

Parking is limited so arrive early or take Lyft. Once inside… it’s a gorgeous proper warehouse with great sound, styled out lights and design, better-than-usual bar offerings, FOOD (small kitchen w/ veggie options), super cool vibe. Free t-shirts & stickers until they run out.
