LOS ANGELES, CA – May 12, 2014 – Conspiracy Lab Recordings announces the release of Arrival, a 4-song EP by Los Angeles electronic music artist Pyrotec, aka Caesar Garcia, on Tuesday, June 3, 2014. Arrival is a concept EP that takes listeners on an upbeat interplanetary journey. Sonically, the EP is a fun mix of electronic dance music and old school hip-hop styling, featuring performances by J Bird, Gabe leGrand, EVeryman, Earl Iodine, and Damaris Siramad. Arrival will be available digitally through iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Google Play, Rdio, Xbox Music, Rhapsody, eMusic, iHeartRadio, Shazam, and many other outlets. “As a whole, the sound is funky yet melodic, futuristic yet old school,” says Pyrotec.

    Arrival Track List

    1. “Home” – Features Los Angeles rapper J Bird and singer Gabe leGrand, friends of Garcia’s since they were all in their teens. The track reads like a sonic comic book with a soulful country hook. Or, in Pyrotec’s words, “…like an alien lost somewhere in The Midlands looking for its way home.”

    2. “Arrival” – Features a cleverly told story by underground LA rapper EVeryman and an infectious, heartfelt hook sung by Pyrotec himself. The track uses cartoon-like vocal and sound effects to advance the story on its journey into outer space.

    3. “New Galactic” – Features LA-based MC Earl Iodine in a performance that is pure fire. A party anthem, the song has a playful attitude and a twist.

    4. “So What if it’s Pretty” – Closing down the EP is this melodic, piano heavy, step track featuring alternative vocals by LA-based aerial artist and first-time singer Damaris Siramad, whose raw attitude lends a nice balance to this heavily male effort.

All music composed and arranged by Pyrotec/Caesar Garcia.

    Pyrotec (aka Caesar Garcia)

Music producer Pyrotec, aka Caesar Garcia, has been a fixture in the Los Angeles underground electronic music scene since 1998, with additional ventures in the pop and rock worlds. He is known for streaming a consistent delivery of DJ mixes, original tracks, and remixes in varied musical styles with driving beats that push the sound system. Transplanted from Mexico City, he was raised in Watts and the Crenshaw District of Los Angeles. He began DJing at age 12 and studied performing arts at Hollywood High School. Garcia has taught dance at various studios in the area and has choreographed competition teams. Much of his early music production was created for these dance teams to help their performances stand out.

As a producer, he debuted his first album, Computer Code, in 1998 under the moniker Future Jazz Conspiracy. That project gained him the attention of Iridium Music, which, at the time, housed artists such as DJ Reza, Eyal, and Pure Nova. This affiliation led to his first vinyl single, “Evolver,” on the Iridium Music label in 2001, as well as a spot on the compilation Higher Collective Consciousness (Iridium Music, 2001). Soon after, he began his own Conspiracy Lab Recordings imprint. Through Conspiracy Lab, Pyrotec has released countless remixes, bootlegs, and white label recordings, as well as long play sound collages and original works. The label was originally mostly an “only for DJs label,” though Pyrotec has widened his horizons in order to connect directly with fans. He currently releases music through Parisian label Overcooked Records and his own Conspiracy Lab Recordings imprint. He also has affiliations with The Do LaB and Bass Cartel.
